A Form’s Journey

FROM SKETCH TO FIRING
Sketch — KLEDE Studio production process
STEP 01

Sketch

Each collection begins with the first hand-drawn studies. The balance of the form is refined before production begins.

Forming — KLEDE Studio production process
STEP 02

Forming

Designs are shaped one by one in stoneware clay; every piece is checked throughout the process.

Glazing — KLEDE Studio production process
STEP 03

Glazing

Glazes are applied not only for colour, but for surface character; combinations evolve through extensive testing.

Firing — KLEDE Studio production process
STEP 04

Firing

Approximately 1200–1300°C. The final stage that completes each piece’s strength and character.

MATERIAL — WHY STONEWARE?

A material that does not try to look perfect.

Fired at high temperatures, stoneware becomes dense and durable enough for everyday use. Glaze transitions and natural variations give every piece a character of its own — no two are exactly alike.

Every KLEDE Studio product carries the marks of handcraft. Small variations are not flaws, but part of each piece’s individual character.

Alongside our collections, we offer custom production for larger quantities and special projects. Please contact us for further information.
